In order to confirm fit of the Road Armor Shock Absorbing Equalizer Kit part # LC696740 you simply need to measure the length of your existing equalizers from eye to eye on center. If they are 6" on center or close then the Road Armor Shock Absorbing Equalizer Kit will work great. In regards to testing an electric trailer brake controller, you should see a full 12 volts at the trailer connector with the manual override and set to maximum. If you don't get 12 volts with the manual override then a replacement is in order. I have a solution for you, but the AL-KO T-44 axle has been discontinued since Dexter bought them out and there are no longer parts available for them, so you would need to completely replace the axles in order to replace the brakes.
